President Xi Jinping called for respect of all countries information sovereignty on Wednesday, telling the Brazilian congress that there are no double standards in the information sector1, and every country has the right to preserve its own information security.

當地時間周三，習近平主席在巴西國會的演講中呼吁尊重各國的信息主權，稱在信息范圍沒雙重標準，各國都有權維護我們的信息安全。

信息主權（information sovereignty）就是國家在信息范圍的主權、維護自己國家信息安全的權利（the right to preserve its own information security）。

習近平在演講中提出，國際社會要本著相互尊重和相互信賴的原則，通過積極有效的國際合作，一同構建和平、安全、開放、合作的互聯網空間（achieve a peaceful, secure, open and cooperative cyberspace2），打造多邊、民主、透明的國際網絡治理體系。
