It turns out that...中的that引導(dǎo)的不是主語(yǔ)從句而是表語(yǔ)從句。turn out表“證明是；結(jié)果是；原來(lái)是”時(shí)為系動(dòng)詞，可接形容詞、副詞、名詞、不定式（常用to be）、從句（用先行詞it作主語(yǔ)）作表語(yǔ)，間或接介詞短語(yǔ)等其它結(jié)構(gòu)。在It turns out that...句式中，引導(dǎo)詞“it”沒(méi)實(shí)質(zhì)意義，在句中用作虛擬主語(yǔ)，指某種狀況或現(xiàn)象，that引導(dǎo)表語(yǔ)從句說(shuō)明這樣的情況或現(xiàn)象。又比如：

It turned out that he was never there. 原來(lái)他根本沒(méi)去過(guò)那兒。

It turned out that our calculations were incorrect. 結(jié)果證明大家的計(jì)算是不對(duì)的。
